We now work as an original band paying tribute to Yes in our own unique way. This album features Claire Hamill (solo singer-songwriter, Ray Davies, Steve Howe, Jon Anderson, John Martyn, Alan White, Jon & Vangelis, Wishbone Ash) and also special guest Clive Bayley from the 1960s pre Yes band Mabel Greer's Toyshop.

"You would almost say that the album is the missing link between 'Relayer' and 'Going For The One'." - Radio Xymphomania

“This album is clearly better than anything the real Yes have produced in this millennium.” - Paul Whimpenny (Velvet Thunder)

“While this is clearly music inspired by Yes, mostly from the classic era you might expect from the band's name, Fragile have found their own sound too.” - Hal C. F. Astell (Apocalypse Later Music)

“Je ne savais pas quoi m’attendre de FRAGILE, disons que la réussite est au rendez-vous, belle et surprenante satisfaction.”

I did not know what to expect from FRAGILE, let's say that success is there, beautiful and surprising satisfaction. - Phillippe Andrè (Profil Prog)

“I would like to extend my heartfelt applause to their start in following the sound world of Yes in the British Rock tradition” – Yoshiyuki Ooseki (zenkouprogrock)

“Im Gegensatz zu den lauen Aufgüssen, die Yes seit Jahrzehnten an beieten, erhält man mit Golden Fragments ein überaus unterhaltsames Retro-Prog-Album, das die alten Prog-Heroen würdig abfeiert”

In contrast to the luke-warm infusions that Yes produced in the last few decades, you get with Golden Fragments a very entertaining retro-prog album, that celebrates the old prog heroes worthily. - Martin Dambek (Empire Magazine)

“Die Schönheit liegt ebenso bei den restlichen Songs im Detail, wenn etwa die Sonne in ´Blessed By The Sun/Hey You And I And´ angebetet wird und die Gesangsstimme immer höher gen Sonnenlicht treibt. Insbesondere ´Time To Dream/Now We Are Sunlight´ bleibt hingegen sehr nahe am Œuvre von YES. Aber wer kann sich heutzutage schon von jeglichen Einflüssen freisprechen?”

The beauty of the rest of the songs is also in the details, when the sun is worshiped in ´Blessed By The Sun / Hey You And I And´ and the singing voice drives higher and higher towards the sunlight. In particular, ´Time To Dream / Now We Are Sunlight´ remains very close to the oeuvre of YES. But who can acquit themselves from any influences these days? - Michael Haifl (Streetclip.de)

“Fragile is a Band in the tradition of Yes. They know the language, how to form the words, construct the sentences, organise the paragraphs tell the story........So we know the language but this lives in its own space and has its own thrilling separate unique voice.” - Michelle Johnston (LOVEOFYESMUSIC.BLOGSPOT.COM)

lyrics

Over the hill and down to the sea
Crystal Caverns are calling to me
Echoing replies that shout full of fear
And crash like an avalanche into our ears
Crash like an avalanche into our ears

People stand watching down by the shore
Bathed in sea mist they can hear waves roar
As tyrannical traders capture their thoughts
They thought they had peace but it all came to naught
They thought they had peace but it all came to naught

Old worlds and kingdoms carved in rock of rhyme
Sending a warning to watch for changing times
And falsehoods from people with nothing to say
So trust to your instincts before it’s too late in the day
Before it’s too late in the day

Into the harbour and drawing together
Just like the souls of older mariners facing bad weather
We are prevailing against the cruel tide of hate
But they can’t hide, the truth inside
And we know why
Thrown about like used up empty sacks
Just flotsam caught in a web by hacks
All at the mercy of some cynical prose
And where it leads to nobody knows
Where it all needs leads to nobody knows, Nothing

Sleep the sleep of the innocent or wake the beast inside
Crouch and creep like the victimized
Or stand up straight and look evil in the eye

Long, the journey has been so long
And weary are the steps we take
How much more can one man bear before his spirit breaks?
But when the heavens open and the sun pours down its heat
Our hearts are lifted skywards
And at last we feel no defeat
We’ve found the solace that we seek, the journey is complete

I can hear the wind of change blowing at my windowpane
Blow, blow, blow the man down
Old worlds and kingdoms keepers all safe
From those who would like to see them replaced
With people easy to manipulate
So trust in your instincts before it’s too late
Before it’s too late in the day.
